- Laborers’ Cement and Concrete Workers, First Year Apprentice

“Being in the union is like being part of a family. This is a career I can do for the rest of my life, not just a job. It takes a lot to make it work, but thinking about longevity, it is definitely worth it. My family sees this as a positive change and they’re happy for me.”

- DC 9 Glaziers Local 1087, Second Year Apprentice

“I am always working! Despite COVID, I just finished my hours and became a second year apprentice. Before P2A I was retired from the Military and raising my kids. This experience taught me that you’re never too old to learn something, whether it was reading a tape measure or cutting pieces of glass. P2A gave me the personal connections to succeed, and I love visiting the new classes and passing that on!”
